RAMASHREY WON ASIAN MEDAL

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

12 member Indian Judo Team participated in the Asian Judo Championships 2009, held on 24th and 25th May 2009 at Chinese Taipei.

Indian Judokas shown excellent performance in the Asian Judo Championships, and Mr. Ramashrey YADAV won Silver medal in below 73 Kg. Weight Category. He won against Tajikistan, Saudi Arebia and lost to South Korea. Other 4 players lost in the Semifinals and won fifth places and 6 categories placed in 7th. The details are as follows:

1. Mr. Anil Kumar 100 Kg - 5th Place
2. Mr. I. Sanju Singh 66Kg - 5th place
3. Ms. KH. Tombi Devi 48Kg - 5th place
4. Ms. L. Nirupama Devi 57Kg - 5th place
5. Mr. Anil Kumar  Open - 7th Place
6. Ms. TH. Kalpana Devi 52Kg - 7th place`
7. Ms. Garima Chaudhary 63Kg - 7th place
8. Ms. CH. Jina Devi 70Kg - 7th Place
9. Ms. Taruna Sharma 78Kg - 7th Place
10. Ms. Taruna Sharma   Open  - 7th place

After long time India got a Silver in the Asian Judo Championships, which is remarkable. JFI now engaged Two foreign Coaches, one for Men ( Hungary ) and One ( https://intranet.ifjs.fr/ )for Women, for the preparation of 2010 Asian Games.
