Ms. Kalpan Devi Thoudam shown marvelous performance and won BRONZE Medal in Below 52 Weight Category in the Women’s WORLD CUP 2010 held on 25th & 26th September 2010 at Tashkent, Uzbekistan,. This is first time India won a World Medal for JUDO. This Championship was the official event of the International Judo Federation and one of the Olympic Qualifying events. According to the Organising Committee, there were 103 players from 17 Countries participated in this World Cup.
