Goa, will host the 3rd Lusofonia Games from 18th  to 29th January 2014. The Games are headed by the Association of Portuguese Speaking Olympic Committees (ACOLOP) and are held after every four years. The 3rd Lusofonia Games, Goa-2013 will be a mega¬ sporting event with the participation of 12 National Olympic Countries (NOCs) featuring 9 sports.
The message of the Games "Unity and Pride" is an invitation to every person across all divides – Goan, Indian and Lusophone – to let go and participate in the Games to the best of their abilities, in the true spirit of the Games. It is an exhortation to them to set new records, to outperform, and to raise the bar by scaling new peaks of achievement. It is also a call to the people of India, especially Goa, to come out in support of the Games and play the perfect hosts at the 3rd Lusofonia Games, Goa-2013.

JUDO is one of the discipline of the Lusofonia Games. The Venue for the Judo Events is Peddam Indoor Stadium. Mr. Mukesh Kumar, President, Judo Federation of India & General Secretary, Judo Union of Asia, Mr. Gurudatta Bhakta, President of Goa Judo Association and Goa Olympic Association with JFI Officials and Government Officials inspected the stadium for conducting the Judo Events of the Games, at Goa.
