Sir/madam,

With reference to the below mail, I am directed by the Hon'ble Administrator JFI to inform you that the last date of submitting nominations of Sportspersons of Outstanding Merit has been extended till 25th May 2026.

Therefore you are requested to send the names (as per attached form ) of sportspersons of outstanding merit of your state/Dept. with copies of their achievements/eligibility certificate and Proof of Date of Birth to JFI by 25th May 2026 

As per the NSG Act and Rules 2025, the nomination/election of the Sportspersons of Outstanding Merit ( 1 male & 1 female ) will be held during the election meeting scheduled on 8th June 2026.

Sub.: Nomination of Sportsperson of Outstanding Merit 

Dear Members,

In continuation of the JFI Email/Letter dated 26.03.2026, it is hereby further directed that nominations (as per the prescribed proforma) for Sportspersons of Outstanding Merit be submitted on or before 30th April 2026 in accordance with the provisions of Chapter–2 r/w Schedule–I of the National Sports Governance (National Sports Bodies) Rules, 2026.

It is further informed that Copy of achievements/eligibility certificate and Proof of Date of Birth are mandatory and must be enclosed along with the prescribed form.

Further, in view of the above, all members are requested not to forward the names of sportspersons as indicated in Form–I until the roster of Sportspersons of Outstanding Merit is finalized and duly published on the official website of JFI.
